I have over 30 years experience in designing and renovating property; experience backed by a degree in design and a successful career in product innovation, research and development.

1960s 2 bed chalet to 5 bed luxury off-grid home
By re-thinking the spatial requirements of 1960s living, I transformed the property to meet the needs of how we live today. Utilising solar energy and an electric heat pump and insulating the house to almost passive standards, I brought this house into the 21st century. The need to provide energy efficient living was as important as its design transformation.

Sellicks Green Farm
The brief was to blend a period dairy farmhouse with a large new contemporary extension. To unlock the amazing views by bringing the outside to the inside with large windows and open plan rooms. The challenge was to retain a homely feel.
This house was featured in House Beautiful and appeared on BBC’s Escape to the Country.
Garden Studio
This was designed to sit in an elevated location to appreciate the panoramic views, an additional space that can adapt to ever-changing lifestyles. Built to building regulation standards featuring adjustable heating and shower room. The owners wanted stylish flexibility to suit their needs.

Railway Carriage
1890s freight carriage, to luxury glamping pod.
It was vital to protect this Great Western railway carriage’s historic status and to retain its incredibly important features. Achieving the perfect balance between restoration and luxury living was certainly a challenge in such a small space.

Billy the Campervan
Bringing a design twist to an old classic; this rare, historic VW campervan was given a new lease of life through careful appreciation of its heritage, balanced with a blend of modern opulence, great design and hidden technology.
‘We have seen Chris’ work and wanted his design expertise to create the perfect blend of ‘old meets new’. We wanted a classic camper that we could drive like a modern car. We are so pleased with the revamped van. When we tour around the country, we often get asked where we got the van and people love hearing the restoration story. Chris was brilliant, he even helped us manage the difficult task of converting the old engine, from vintage air-cooled, to a modern 2.5 litre water-cooled engine. This is certainly a one of-a-kind, bespoke designed campervan conversion that has surpassed our wildest dreams.’
